Cameron, the things I do for you! Today I went to the doctor to be tested for gestational diabetes. I am normally a sugar fiend, but have been trying to keep it in check since everything I eat becomes what you eat. So I had to go on an empty stomach and drink this hideously sweet orange-flavored goop. If anyone ever tries to get me to drink a Sunkist again, I might just run away screaming.
So then they tell you to you sit for an hour and feel the effect of that insane sugar rush on the kiddo. You were kicking me like you were in the middle of a Rockette audition! Then they draw some blood and send you on your way. The worst part is that as hungry as I was before, the thought of putting food in my stomach along with that substance is suddenly completely revolting.
Guess I will find out at my next appointment if the 64 oz. Mountain Dew and bag of powdered donuts I had just before made an impact.
P.S. Say a little prayer for your daddy's horse Frisky. A friend borrowed him, and another horse meanly bit him. Hopefully the stitches and drainage tube come out next week, but your daddy is having to spend lots more time every day taking care of him. I told him it was a preview of parenting you!
