A Getaway with Grammy

It might be tough for you to remember, but you took a trip with me to New York City. You were still in my tummy, but you had a great time. It was such a quick trip, so I felt like I got to see a few great things in NY, but not enough. I definitely knew right away that I had to go back.

So I have been whining to your Daddy that we need a vacation. The last trip we took together was to Guatemala two years ago, and I definitely wouldn't call that a vacation! Your Daddy was given a free round-trip airline ticket along with a big purchase earlier this year, and one of the cities he is eligible to go to is Las Vegas. He LOVED Vegas when we went for my work trip last year. We spent most of the days apart, so he roamed around by himself and had a blast. He plans to go back this summer - too bad it will be 1,000 degrees in the desert.

So I have been thinking about taking a trip with your Grammy! She has the whole summer off from school and says that she needs some exciting plans. So today, I proposed that we take a trip just the two of us to NYC! I am thinking the end of June would be a good time for me to be away from work, and you will be bigger and easier for Daddy to handle all by himself. Crazy to think that you will be eating real foods by then!

Friends, here is where I need your input! What are the things that we absolutely must plan on doing? Where should we stay? What were the best restaurants or places to shop? Please give me some ideas so I can start making plans now!
