Hey Little One,
Last night we decided to attempt an evening out. Your daddy has been playing on a men's softball team from our church, and last night their game was at 7:00. Any later than that just won't work with our eating schedule, so I figured we would give it a shot. You ate right when we got there and were so happy the entire time! You watched the players really intently since we sat in the front row just to the right of the batter. The crack of the bat hitting the ball surprised you a few times, but you seemed to really like watching all the action, especially when Daddy was up to bat. He was so proud to show you off to all the guys because they prayed for us before you were even born. After the game ended, the team huddles up to pray for one another and have a short devotional, and your daddy disappeared with you! He said you cooed and laughed at everyone and even laid your head on his chest during the prayer. I couldn't have asked for you to be any happier or behave better. We might even attempt to go back again, especially since they won the game with a big rally in the last inning. Maybe you are their good luck charm!
Of course, since we were at a grubby softball complex (with no baby changing station, by the way!) we had to get you home for a good bath. You are starting to kick the water and laugh at the sound, and you are hanging onto your little bath toys. I just had to get a cute bath picture of all those creases that we have to make sure get clean. And don't worry Daddy, this picture is G-rated!
