Three Months In

How did you suddenly turn three months old?  This month made Mama so happy because it felt like we settled into a new normal.  Month one was all in the NICU.  Month two, we were home but running around like crazy to a million doctors and I think we were both exhausted. This third month was great because taking you to school and getting into a routine made it seem like everything was perfectly fine and we could forget about all those scary times when we worries ourselves sick about you.

You are growing into such a handsome fella! I am so in love with the little chuckles you give me when I tickle you under your armpits or up under your chin(s). It is so fun to see you look me in the eyes and bust out a huge grin of recognition. By the way, your eyes are still their dark gray color and I am still betting on them changing. Guess we will see! Your hair is still thin and short, but when I give you a little comb-over you look like a tiny little man. I love the evening times with you when you are worn out and snuggly. These next few months are going to bring a lot of changes, so I will try to be thankful, to be present, and to be purposeful.
