A Big Girl Bed

Bo and I casually decided last night that after Christmas, we are going to come home and have potty training boot camp. Roll up the rugs and bust out the OxyClean! I have read a few different methods and I think that Cameron is definitely capable of getting it down with some intense concentration and lots of rewards from Daddy. When she can make it through the whole night dry and go right to the potty in the morning, I think it's a sign.

But then I starting thinking that if she is not wearing diapers anymore, she will need be able to get up in the middle of the night to go potty if she needs to. That means no more zip-up footy jammies (that she really loves) and no more crib. We have never had any problem with her trying to climb out, and the thought of her being able to leave her bed at all hours is a little unsettling.

Sweet Ainslee has put her toddler bed on loan to us. I think it might get a fresh coat of white paint to go with all of Cameron's furniture, but I also need to look for some new bedding. I am certainly not planning to repaint or buy new curtains, but I think I like this one:

Not too terribly girly and I can't help but love the birds.

So wish us luck, and maybe buy us some carpet cleaner. Our baby girl is getting a big girl bed!

  1. Good luck! I bet she will do great! We are still a few months away from potty training, but hopefully pretty soon.
