Another Month Flown By

Cameroni,
Sorry I am so behind in blogging! It seems like we had a few weeks of not much happening, and then all of a sudden things went crazy and I didn't have time to blog. Now that you are officially out of the "counting months" phase, I am just going to refer to you as a one-year-old. Who is always hungry, knows her sign language, and is constantly on the go. You even threw your first temper tantrum this morning (though I know for certain that Cara has seen a few herself). You were tired and cranky and did not want to leave your snuggly bed. Even some warm milk for the car ride only kept you happy until it ran out, then more fussing. But of course, you were happy when we got to Cara's and could see their pretty Christmas tree and chase their cat around.

Your daddy is having so much fun spending time with you. You are such a little daredevil, and you love when he lifts you high in the air or gives you a good toss. You have cheered with him for the Dallas Cowboys and have the biggest sweetest laugh when he hangs you upside down and kisses on your tummy.

Our only challenge lately seems to be with food. You are definitely becoming more and more interested in whatever is on our plate and are close to refusing to eat baby food. I think I keep buying it because I like knowing that you are eating such a variety of fruits and veggies, but you are so over the mushiness. Last night you would take a bit of your "chicken noodle" mush and just spit it all right back on your chin. I think Daddy and I were both a little frustrated, but we had to find other things to you to eat. You seemed to really enjoy feeding yourself green beans and carrots off of your own little fork. Looks like Mommy is going to have to start getting creative with meals for you!

And I am going to have to try to get some more good video of you saying the words and signs that you know. I think we hear your version of "dog" about every two minutes (even though you can't make the g sound at the end) and you love to point at anything green outside and say "tree" (with no r). But you are learning and paying attention to everything!

This month we had such a wonderful time with our family for Thanksgiving and are looking forward to all our December fun too. The only downer is that once December ends, so does your time with Mrs. Cara and Ainslee. I am definitely in denial about it, but I did finally order you a very cute nap mat to take with you to daycare. Hopefully it will arrive before Christmas since the woman making it (ordered it off of Etsy, so it is adorably homemade) only lives in Austin. Promise we will post pictures as soon as we can because it has the most fabulous fabric on it. (Hint: there is red hair involved!)

Loving you,
Mama
