How is it even possible that you could go from this tiny angel...

to this beautiful little girl in just one year?

You amaze me at how quickly you have changed and grown so big and smart! We went today for your one year checkup, and your doctor said your stats and development are awesome! You weigh 21 lbs. 8 oz. and are 29 1/2 inches long, both of which are in about the 60th percentile. You are perfectly proportional!
The end of the appointment didn't go well since you had to get five shots! We got your second seasonal flu booster, the H1N1 vaccine, the MMR (measles, mumps & rubella) vaccine, the chickenpox vaccine and the pneumococcal vaccine. I know it sounds like a ton, and I was so sorry that we had to do so many at once. But with you starting daycare in January, I wanted to make sure that you were going to stay as healthy as possible! I trust our doctor and we have been very blessed to have had a wonderful year of not being sick.
But back to the fun stuff! I wish everyone could see how funny you are sometimes. If you really get to laughing (mostly at Daddy or Ainslee) the sound is just contagious and usually gives you the hiccups right after. You have such a big grin that shows off your six teeth, and you are constantly soaked in drool most days. I think I might start sending you two shirts per day!
Your walking has improved so much! You still tend to sit down once you get off balance, but now you can stand yourself right back up and take off again. You get so excited about taking baths, and you walk to your room immediately when you hear us say "night night" or mention jammies. And we are thankful that you are such a good sleeper. Most nights, we look at you with the video monitor, and you sleep with your little buns up in the air and your knees curled under you, just like Mommy used to sleep!
I can't wait to see what fun we will have in the next year. You will be starting daycare in January, which means we will have to plan lots of play dates for you and Ainslee. I know you will miss eachother so much! But we are hoping that you continue to learn to play and have fun no matter where you are. You just ooze happiness and I know your new teacher will fall in love with you.
Thank you for all the joy and love that you have brought into our lives. You are the best gift I could ever ask for, and I hope that we are doing this incredible responsibility justice - raising you to be a loving, smart and happy girl.
Many blessings today and always! Love, Mama

What a sweet letter to her. I think she is so precious, and I have never even met her, so I can't imagine how cute and fun she is in real life! You are such a great Mom, Cam is lucky to have you!
