(Not So) Little Girl,
You were a bit of a crankypants when I picked you up from Mrs. Cara's on Friday afternoon. I was hurrying to get you to the doctor on time but you were mad that your nap was over. You definitely perked up when Daddy walked in the waiting room to join us! You had a bottle right before we went in (which I am sure made you much heavier!) So here are the stats:
Weight: 20 lbs. even.... Unbelievable. Still in the 75th percentile.
Height: 27.5 inches long. Only grew one inch sinch our 6 mo. check up! 25th percentile.
She said you are doing wonderful on all your developmental milestones and seem to be very healthy! You were very patient while she examined everything and really enjoyed tearing up the paper lining again on the table. In fact, Daddy even rolled you up like a baby burrito in it.
The good news is that she said your tear duct seems to be making improvements, so we are going to be patient until you are a year old before having any procedures done. I like that she is conservative in those types of judgments. And she also answered all the food questions I had. She says you are ready to start eating more table foods if the baby food just isn't cutting it. Tons of new things for you to try - macaroni and cheese, tuna, fresh fruits, yogurt, and more. I guess we will see if your variety and openness continue. I think it is mostly me holding back... "Surely my little baby can't eat that!" But here's to another healthy nine months and more!
